L.A.B. includes UK MRLs in its results reports

As of February 15, L.A.B. | Bioclinical Analytical Laboratory includes UK Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) in all its result reports, for its analytical services focused on the detection of pesticide residues in food and feed.

On 31 December 2020 Britain left the EU legal framework for pesticide residues in food and feed of plant and animal origin. From that moment on, Great Britain took the MRL values described in Regulation (EC) 396/2005 as starting values, not accepting any modification from the EU, from that moment on.

Only the modifications from the publications issued by the Health and Safety Executive of the UK Government will modify the values assumed as their own for the MRLs on 1 January 2021.

It is from the beginning of 2022 when different market operators are starting to demand the inclusion of these UK MRLs in the reports. L.A.B., aware of the needs of its clients and of the quick response that there is to give, jointly, to this type of demands, announces that from the 15th of February it will incorporate in all its pesticide residue reports the MRL values of the United Kingdom in a generalised way.

L.A.B. continues to work on a daily basis to be the best advisory support (regulatory and advisory) for its clients. For further information, do not hesitate to consult its technical team.
